Mr. Duca is the Chief Economist for the Dallas Federal Reserve and will be providing a presentation on the current economic state and some invaluable insight and predications of what to expect in the coming 12 months.
Mr. Duca has 2 book publications, hundreds of articles, and is one of the most respected Economic professionals in the nation.

Alcalde editor Tim Taliaferro will lead a Q&A with Executive Director Melissa Chavez, followed by questions from the audience.
Chavez will talk about UT Elementary's innovative curriculum, detailed in the May issue of The Alcalde, and what school districts around the state can learn and replicate.

The Legacy Group will be hosting a two for one event on Thursday, May 26th !!...
International Beer Tasting and former UT legendary basketball coach Tom Penders, both at BJ's Restaurant on Belt Line Road in Addison.
We will kick off the evening at 5:30pm with former UT Basketball Coach Tom Penders signing copies of his new book (co-authored with Steve Richardson),
Dead Coach Walking: Tom Penders Surviving and Thriving in College Hoops.
There is no charge to come meet Coach Penders and he is donating $5 to the Chapter from each book sold at this event.
This is a great way for our alumni to say thanks to Tom for the many fun seasons he gave us as his "Running Horns" drove UT basketball into the national spotlight.

At 6:00pm, we will start the official International Beer Tasting event.
These will not be your standard, everyday beers.
We will be learning about and sampling a variety of bottle conditioned Belgian or Belgian style ales as well as BJ's draft beers, which are craft beers using other country styles.
In addition to the 13 beers, we will have food pairings that compliment the flavors of each beer (it's not just for wine anymore).
You will be surprised by the diverse flavors and styles you encounter at this tasting!
The cost for this International Beer Tasting event is $30.
We can take a few walk-ins that night, but request that you reserve your spot ahead of time – we want to be sure we have enough beer and food for everyone.

Please join the Dallas Texas Exes for our 2nd annual Skeet Shooting Tournament.
The tournament provides a great warm up for Opening Dove Season 10 days away or great outing with friends and family members!

Format is the same as last year with each team having 4 shooters.
If you are an individual or have 2 or 3 shooters, please enter with their names and we will pair you.
Individual shooters are $85.00.
If you register all 4 shooters at once, the price will be $75.00 per person.

This year every shooter will be given a 100% Buffalo Hide Shell Bag with the Dallas Texas Exes Skeet Shoot Logo Embossed on the pouch and the winning team and highest individual shooter will receive awards and their names engraved on the Skeet Shooting Plaque.
In addition, we are excited to be raffling off a very nice Beretta shotgun which will be on display at the tournament at the end of the shoot.
Friends/family/children are all welcome.
Lastly, please join us at Pappasitos after the shoot to cool down with a beer and some great food in a private room reserved for the Dallas Texas Exes.

We are getting a team together again for the beach volleyball tournament at Yucatan Beach Club in Coppell!

All skill levels welcome. We are continuing our success from the end of last year's tournament, so come out and be part of this Texas Exes intramural tradition.

The league starts September 14th with one game each Wednesday. Games will start between 6:30 and 9:30 and the cost will be between $25 and $35 depending on the size of the team. The league runs for 6-7 weeks. Come out and support the Texas team!

Community Partners of Dallas' Coat Drive provides brand new winter coats for children served by Child Protective Services. Coats play an essential role in keeping children warm and healthy, as well as helping the kids self esteem by giving them something they can be proud to wear.

Volunteers are a crucial element to this drive, as we need help organizing and sorting our coat donations! This year we are expecting close to 2,000 coats! Volunteers help us ensure that our coats are ready for caseworkers to pick up and deliver to the children on their caseloads.
25 DTE volunteers are needed!
Casual attire recommended; closed-toed shoes required.
