35th Annual Get Teed Off at OU Golf Classic

Join us for our annual golf classic before the Longhorns take on the Sooners at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas!

A TX/OU weekend tradition, every year the Dallas Texas Exes organize a charity golf tournament.

The six-person Florida scramble supports the Dallas Texas Exes Scholarship Fund. This premier event is attended by over 300 players and features the Longhorn Singers, and Smokey the Cannon.

The Get Teed Off at OU Golf Classic has raised more than $2.5M in funds for scholarships over its three-decade history and is the longest running major Texas Exes event in the world.

Entry fee includes breakfast, lunch, steak dinner, Tiff’s Treats, beverages, a unique player gift, and a post-round awards ceremony.

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase with an opportunity to win a private jet trip for four to Austin, TX.

Registration starts on June 1, 2023 and closes on Friday September 29th. Save on early purchasing of player fee and mulligan packages. You may purchase as many mulligan packages as you’d like, and each package comes with 3 mulligans and 2 hits from red tees.

The Annual Dallas Texas Exes Young Alumni Bar Crawl is BACK for the first time since 2019! Sponsored by Coors Light and Corona, we are excited to have you join us for an afternoon of brews and views of the illustrious Lower Greenville neighborhood. Grab a friend and share a water, soda, or beer to join us! If you would like to drink with us, we offer two different ticket tiers for different beers per stop below.

Date: Saturday, July 29th

Time: 1-5pm

Locations:

  1. Desert Racer (1 – 2:30ish) – Check in at the entrance facing Hudson St.!
  2. HG Supply Co. (2:30ish – 3:45ish) – If you’re running late, you can catch up here!
  3. Truck Yard (3:45ish – 5pm) – We’ll end the afternoon at Truck Yard where you can enjoy your last brews as well as get some food from their kitchen or food trucks nearby! We’ll also be doing a raffle here! (Note: Food NOT included in ticket price)

Ticketing Tiers:

  • Just hanging with: If you’re interested in getting to know more Young Alumni from the Dallas area but don’t want to drink, we’d love to have you too! RSVP for FREE to make sure you have it on your calendar.
  • 2 Beers per Stop: For $39.90, you can enjoy two beers (your choice of Coors or Corona) at EACH stop for a total of six beers for the crawl. (Comes out to $6.65 per beer!)
  • 3 Beers per Stop: For $49.95, you can enjoy three beers (your choice of Coors or Corona) at EACH stop for a total of nine beers for the crawl. (Comes out to $5.55 per beer!)

Your Safety:

  • We strongly encourage the use of ride-sharing or a designated driver when joining us.
  • The closest DART station is the SMU/Mockingbird Stop and the Uber/Lyft from there should be around $10
  • We will also ask all participants to sign a waiver when registering for the event.
  • Finally, all participants must be OVER 21 to participate. We will be checking ID upon arrival.

The first 50 participants to sign up will get a Dallas Texas Exes Young Alumni embroidered cooling towel with their ticket purchase!

The Dallas Texas Exes meet every last Wednesday of the month (Except July and November) from 6:30 – 8:30 PM, in-person. Board meetings are open to all Texas Exes and friends. You do not need to be a paid Texas Exes member to volunteer with us or attend our events.

Young Alumni June Meetup: Painting with a Twist

Join the DTE Young Alumni for a BYOB painting lesson at Painting with a Twist off of Lovers Lane.

We will provide some drinks and snacks, but feel free to bring your own items as well.

Each painter is responsible for registering and paying for their own spot. For $39, each painter will have access to supplies and a private group lesson on how to paint a “Galactic View” shown below:

Join the Dallas Texas Exes Young Alumni (YA) on SUNDAY June 4th for CAMP TEXAS EXES, Dallas YA Edition, and/or drinks at Smoky Rose!

Our very own DTE YA and former Camp Texas counselor, Kristi Bartlett, will be facilitating an hour of games and events complete with prizes from DTE! We will meet near the White Rock Lake Waterfall parking lot.

Then, we’ll all head over to Smoky Rose (valet parking only or a 20 minute walk from our Camp Texas activities – 1 mile away) for drinks and BBQ!

You’re more than welcome to join us at either event or both, however your RSVP is requested to help us plan.
