Join the Young Alumni Committee meeting if you’re interested in helping plan monthly events and happy hours geared towards alumni who have graduated within the last 20 years.
You do not need to be a paid member of the Texas Exes to volunteer to this committee.

Young Alumni January Happy Hour and Two-Step Lessons
January 16, 2023 @ 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm
All alumni and friends are welcome to join the Young Alumni at Round-Up in Oaklawn! It’s Happy Hour ALL NIGHT, and the Young Alumni are doing a Two-Step Take Over! No need to bring a partner, so come on by at 7:30 to say hi and meet other alumni.
- 7:30 -10:30 PM Happy Hour
- 8:00 – 8:39 PM for Intro to Two-Step
- 8:30 – 9:30 PM for Beginner combos
- 9:30 PM Open Dance after lessons to practice your moves!
Round-Up offers two-step classes every Monday night, but on the 16th, YA members Trenton Makare and Monica Li will take over as your instructors for the evening.
Appetizers provided by Dallas Texas Exes and the Young Alumni Committee. PLEASE NOTE: There is no kitchen at Round-Up.
Not interested in dancing? You can still come by to toast to the new year with us before and after the lesson and enjoy happy hour while watching the dancers!
Your RSVP is requested so DTE can provide enough food and Round-Up is well staffed. Check in with DTE near the dance floor.

Complimentary valet or Preston Hollow Village public parking available. The event is on the 2nd floor of The Douglas at Preston Village Tower off of 75 and Walnut Hill.

Texas Tailgate at the State Fair

Come tailgate with us inside the State Fair starting at 7:00 AM till Texas/OU kicks off at 11:00 AM!
The party runs till kick off and we’re located off Gate 5. We’ll have The Horn radio station broadcasting on site and a performance by The Longhorn Singers. Admission is free; $5 drinks and Tacodeli available for purchase.

Bash Before the Clash

Join Texas Longhorn fans at the AC Hotel by the Galleria for a spirited night on the eve of the Texas-OU game. Drink specials, great food, DJ, and special appearances by The Longhorn Singers, Texas Pom & Cheer, and Hook ’em will keep the party lively.
There is plenty of parking around the hotel. There is also free garage parking on Connell Dr. and Bryce Ln.
