Camp Texas is celebrating its 31st year! In appreciation of Camp Texas, support their alumni chapter by donating to their scholars during the RSVP process.
The official Texas Exes Camp Texas Alumni Network (TECTAN) first chartered with the Texas Exes in July of 2016. The Network helps connect anyone with an affiliation to Camp Texas keeping the Network up-to-date on alumni, Texas Exes, and Camp Texas.
TECTAN’s top objective is raising funds to enable future students the opportunity to go to Camp Texas – in the hopes of one day – any student is able to attend Camp. The Network accomplishes this by uniting, informing, and involving past alumni and friends though local events and a Network wide reunion. In achieving the main goal, the Network also hopes to help transition recent graduates into the real world not only socially but also professionally.
Meet our camp counselors for the day!
Meet former Camp Texas Counselor, Kristi Bartlett
Kristi Bartlett graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of a Science in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering. In 2020, the Society of Petroleum Engineers Dallas section awarded her Young Engineer of the Year for outstanding achievements and dedicated service to the engineering profession. She currently is the Director of Reservoir Engineering at Comstock Resources. Although her professional career is in Dallas, her heart is still on the 40 acres with the Alumni Association’s Camp Texas, a three day leadership training for incoming freshman and transfer students. Her dream is for every student to be able to attend the leadership program as its goal is to set students up for success before they step on the 40 acres while exposing them to the organization they will call home after they step off.
